DoorDash Dasher Earnings Estimator

DoorDash shows base, peak, and tip separately. This page adds them, subtracts fuel, and divides by hours. It does not fetch your Dasher app.

Three pay lines, one fuel line

gross = deliveries x (base + peak) + tips. fuel = miles / MPG x gas. hourly = (gross - fuel) / hours.

Default $28.78/hour after gas. Instacart batches are not 1:1 with deliveries; use Instacart Shopper Earnings Estimator for multi-order batches.

Peak is already in the offer

Do not also multiply base by a “peak percent.” If the app says +$2.00 peak, the peak field is 2.

Taxes

Net after gas is still 1099 income in the US for most dashers. The Side Hustle Tax Estimator on this site is the next worksheet, not a substitute for a CPA.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the default result?

Gross = 10 x ($6.50 + $2.00) + $35 = $120. Fuel = 35 / 25 x $3.50 = $4.90. Net $115.10. Hourly $28.78 over 4 hours.

Is peak a percent of base?

No. Peak pay on DoorDash is extra dollars on the offer. This page adds peak to base per delivery. Do not type 20 in peak thinking it is 20%.

Customer delivery fee versus my base?

The customer fee is not your paycheck. Use the offer breakdown: base, peak, tip. Ignore what the diner paid DoorDash.

Hot bags and phone mounts?

Not subtracted. Treat them as overhead on a different sheet, or raise gas slightly as a fudge if you want one number.
