Four payments, sticker price, optional late add-on

Installment = order / 4. Shopper total = order + late fees you enter. Seller fee is a parallel merchant calculation and does not raise the $30 default installment.

Default $120 is four $30 payments. Klarna Pay in 4 lives on Klarna BNPL Cost Calculator.

Seller 6% + $0.30 is Square-shaped

If you sell through Square Afterpay, a common published seller rate is 6% + $0.30. On $120 that is $7.50, seller net $112.50. Other gateways differ. Set both seller fields to 0 when you are only checking shopper payments.

Not a credit-limit API

Afterpay approval, available spend, and in-store QR are account checks. This page never talks to Afterpay.

Affirm longer terms with APR belong on the Affirm calculator, not in the late-fee box.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the default $120 schedule?

Four payments of $30.00. If late fees are $0, the shopper total stays $120. Afterpay is not accruing APR on that path when you pay on time.

Why is late fee an input instead of a formula?

US Afterpay late fees depend on state caps and whether the installment was missed. Inventing $10 every time would be wrong for many users. Paste the fee Afterpay assessed.

Does the seller fee change my installment?

No. The 6% + $0.30 style fee is charged to the merchant. The shopper still owes four equal pieces of the sticker price unless late fees apply.

Is Sezzle or Klarna the same math?

Four-payment 0% is similar, but late-fee tables and merchant rates differ. Use the Klarna page for Klarna APR financing. Do not reuse Afterpay late fees there.
