What do the color states mean?
Green "Within limit" when more than 20 characters remain. Amber "Almost at limit" at 20 or fewer remaining. Rose "Over limit" when used characters exceed 280. The primary card border turns rose when over.
Are t.co links shortened in this counter?
No. Whatever you type is counted literally. X may shorten URLs server-side to 23 characters when posted. Leave room manually if you paste long query strings.
Does this count words and lines?
Yes. Words split on whitespace after trim. Lines count newline characters plus one. Defaults: 59 characters used, 221 remaining, 11 words, 1 line.
